Your Virtual Coach
The app acts as your personal cornerman. It allows athletes to train solo with absolute intensity, entirely without a physical coach standing there yelling "sprawl!", "shoot!", or "jump!". The app does the shouting for you.
"But I can just train alone, I don't need an app."
Actually, sports neuroscience says otherwise. If you tell yourself "GO", your brain naturally anticipates the movement. Because your brain generated the command, you bypass the perceptual stage entirely, stripping away the very half-second of genuine cognitive processing you are trying to train.
A true reflex is built on unpredictability. Reacting to an auditory cue when you don't know when it will happen forces your central nervous system to adapt. By training with random, external stimuli, your neuromuscular response latency is scientifically proven to decrease—giving you the defining edge in a real fight.
Why Reaction Training Matters
Whether you're navigating the complexities of the bjj belt system or striving for gold bjj standards, your split-second decisions define your progress on the bjj mats.
True bjj training isn't just about drilling; it's about reacting seamlessly under pressure. Progress bjj skills exponentially by using our Random Reaction mode. It forces you to think fast, keep your mind sharp, and improve your reflexes between live rolls.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I download the app?
You can easily find us on the App Store. Designed seamlessly for your Apple device, getting started is just a tap away.
Is the app available on Google Play?
Not yet, but an Android version is currently in development and coming soon! We are actively working on bringing the BJJ Reaction Timer to the Google Play Store so everyone can train smarter.
How does the reaction timer work?
It's simple: you choose an interval speed. On the fastest setting, it will call out a command almost every second. If you choose a slower speed, the app randomizes the timing—it might fire several commands quickly in a row, suddenly pause, and then start again. It is completely unpredictable, forcing you to react instantly just like in a live roll!
Is this timer only for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
While perfectly tailored for bjj training, any martial art that involves interval and reaction training can benefit from our app. From striking arts to grappling, the customizable intervals adapt to any combat sport.
Can I save my favorite timer setups?
Absolutely! You can save most used configurations so you're ready to hit the bjj mats instantly, helping you save time during every session. Custom presets are securely stored and quickly accessible.
What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a highly effective, grappling-based martial art centered around ground fighting and submission holds. Instead of relying on striking, BJJ utilizes leverage, weight distribution, and technique, famously allowing a smaller person to successfully defend against and subdue a larger opponent.
The art exploded into global popularity through Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), where its sheer effectiveness quickly made it a mandatory skill for all fighters. Because modern combat sports require such rigorous, overlapping disciplines, the intense interval and reaction training native to BJJ is now universally practiced.
This massive MMA crossover is exactly why our reaction timer is relied upon by athletes not just in BJJ, but across a wide spectrum of different martial arts.
